Surf’s Up Babe

PAS SS12 LK09 5MBA few summers ago we picked up a Pret-A-Surf rashguard and it totally changed our summer look.  The compliments we received for the perfectly cut black and white striped top, with its sexy thick red zip, just didn’t stop coming.  Pret-A-Surf is a surf line for women created by two fashion insiders, Jillian Demling from Vogue Magazine and Karen Mulligan who works for legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz.

The line was born out of frustration when the two friends were heading to Surf Camp in Costa Rica and couldn’t find the gear they needed.  They were simply after something that was both functional and fashionable at the same time.  True to their original idea, this line is both gorgeous and super fashionable whilst remaining highly practical.

We love throwing a rashguard over their hot little bikinis for either surfing or just saving our bodies from sun damage.  It’s worth mentioning that not all their bikinis are tiny, again catering to the practicality of the super active woman who wants to look stylish while surfing, kayaking, wakeboarding or anything else your heart desires in the summer sun.  As well as a great range of swimsuits and bikinis, they also make stylish cover ups, shorts and neat little skirts.

Hands down this is our favorite look for the beach this summer.  It makes us feel cute while looking sporty and well put together at the same time.  Sold at Barneys New York, Jeffrey and Opening Ceremony.
