The beautiful new Ludlow Hotel has quietly opened on Ludlow Street on the Lower East Side. This is the latest in the mini empire of New York hotelier, Sean McPherson, the LA transplant behind New York’s The Bowery, The Jane Hotel and Montauk’s The Crow’s Nest.
Most of the rooms have views to die-for. Even the smallest of rooms are well laid out, with seating areas, casually slung sheepskins on chairs and spectacular New York City views. Some rooms have balconies, but every room we checked out had spectacular bathrooms. Gold taps, white tiles and Manhattan views that take your breath away, making these bathrooms some of the most glamorous we’ve seen in a New York hotel.
The bar, as you would expect, is cosy with the kind of put together vintage finds that will make drinking here a slam dunk. There’s a large garden straight off the bar and opening later this summer, is their restaurant, Dirty French. The restaurant is the creation of the team behind hit New York restaurant Carbone, making The Ludlow a sure-fire destination for New York’s coolest crowd the minute the restaurant opens. The Ludlow Hotel. 180 Ludlow Street.NY. 10002.
