A new book, Yves Saint Laurent by Roxanne Lowit presents a personal photographic history of Yves Saint Laurent, from 1978, the year photographer Roxanne Lowit first met him, to the last show he gave in 2002. The book is a fabulous behind the scenes look in to the world of Saint Laurent whose glamorous life is captured by Lowit, a pioneer of backstage fashion photography. Packed with dazzling images of the designer and his model muses taken from Lowit’s own backstage experience at YSL’s shows and as an insider in the social whirl that was Saint Laurent’s world.
With contributions from Saint Laurent muses including Jerry Hall, Catherine Deneuve and Lucie de la Falaise, this book is a beautiful window into the world of the legendary designer. Yves Saint Laurent photographs by Roxanne Lowit will be on show at Steven Kasher gallery from 29th October.
